I remember Mr QUELCH our fourth form English teacher. A man almost due for retirement, very hard-bitten and carrying the verbal scars of many weary years experience. Mr Quelch's finest honed skill, polished and practised over many years was his store of one liners that he used to put down troublesome students. One day he met his match and the worm turned~AH! SQUELCH~ "Schooldays the best years of my life".

This is my wild imagination at work in response to a "Picture it and Write" prompt on Ermilias blog on WordPress THE LOST DREAM
Last night I dreamed an important, wonderful event would be happening. Very soon. I saw the music, heard the colours, smelt the odours of imminent universal change. I entered another dimension located in the near future. My dream took me to a new frontier of universal happiness and a melding of all things corporeal, into a plane of pure being that is unattainable to the present pattern of being. The virus that is infecting humanity holds the human race in a vice-like grasp. My dream gave the answers and the keys to unlocking the secrets of how to remove and destroy this block to our future growth. When I awoke and came to, in this present dimension, I felt the peace and contentment flooding through my dream had been rudely ripped from my memory by the virus that infects us all. I feel the heights and the withdrawal from this experience mirrored in my face as I struggle to revive the memory of my incredible dream. All the colours of the rainbow were displayed in the box of coloured pencils that my Father had left on his desk. To my five year old mind they were the gateway to my artistic dreams.
I tentatively began scrawling a green line then a red line followed by blue all over the walls and doors. Excited delight as I began "riding the pencil", to colour and express my extreme happiness in being alive in a child's world of magic. © by John Yeo Riding on a sunbeam, as the sun sets through a darkening sky, to the Milky Way. The magical bike powers through the star ways. I am peddling furiously and steering the handlebars to avoid oncoming asteroids, trailing meteors and lumps of space debris. The bike responds with a smile as we enter the new dimension a two-wheeled phenomenon~~~
© by John Yeo Old Bill would walk along with a carrier bag full of rubbish he had collected during his daily walk. I couldn’t stand living in dirt he would say to everyone or anyone who enquired. I am devoted to cleaning up the neighbourhood. In reality he was always looking for something to keep and hoard.
© by John Yeo To accentuate the positive allows the honing and improving of the good parts of a person. The parts of my writing I like I will highlight and improve. I will think using a positive accent of thought process, before I eliminate the negative and unwanted. I speak with an English accent inbred and difficult to change. When I write I colour the words with an English unspoken accent.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My hands were stroking and caressing the glass~Outside the trees and freedom beckoned, the sun had shone earlier this morning but I was unable to experience the purity and warmth of the sun kissed air. I could see the warm breeze ruffling and swaying the leaves on the trees through the glass of our window pane. Confined to this room since the men with powerful guns arrived and placed everyone under curfew. We are told this is for our own safety and to allow for a thorough extermination of the enemies of the invaders who come to kill and steal our lands and lives. I watch the free birds soaring and swirling in the sky, a spider crawls across the glass looking for food. Perhaps the curfew will be lifted soon and we will be able to find food for ourselves. When the danger is passed we will not be shot if we open our door. Nature continues to thrive and kill to survive. I butter the toast on both sides now, just lightly, to get a flavour on the bottom of the slices, Then, thick oodles of butter on top and a coating of Marmite. Washed down with the tea, Heaven on a Winters night.
Just drive around the city please I would like to see the sights~ Big Ben, London Bridge and the famous Buckingham Palace.
