First 50 Words~ Pony

We would travel through the New Forest in Hampshire in England and see hundreds of the New Forest ponies roaming free and grazing on the lush grass. These are not wild ponies, they are privately owned by people who have the grazing rights. They are free to roam the forest at will, until they are rounded up by their owners and counted. There is now a unique breed of the New Forest pony.

Eczema and other terrible skin complaints can be helped or even cured by a visit to the Dead Sea in the Middle East. This lake has a very high level of salt and other minerals. Stephen had very bad red sores and irruptions on his face and upper body. After a visit and a few swims and soaks in the healing, very salty water, his skin was clear and healed.

First 50 Words~ Sand

The camel train was huge, stretching out for miles into the endless desert. The traders were travelling together in a huge camel train to defeat the bandits. Suddenly a huge sand-storm erupted, the fierce desert wind blew sand everywhere, piling the loose swirling, whirling, wind-swept particles into sand dunes, making travelling impossible. We took shelter where we could.

The surf was up, white-topped waves crashing into the shore. One wave seemed to be balancing, manoeuvring to get ahead of the others, a huge wave heading in fast. Billy jumped on the board, braced himself then smiled at the sheer exhilaration of riding the monster. The wave curled over his head as he approached the shore almost swallowing him up, but he came out on top smiling.

The morning after our trip to the scorching beach, my friend realised how stupid she had been.”I forgot to apply the sunscreen”, she cried, as she examined her badly burnt skin in the mirror. I hope there is no lasting damage.

This isn't Kansas! I have seen Kangaroos and Wallaby's with Koala's and
Emus. I have met some of the native Aboriginal people,
In Kansas they have Buffalo and Cattle, Horses and Rattlesnakes. The native people of Kansas were originally Cheyenne Indians and Wichita Indians.
Kansas was once American Indian territory. No! This isn't Kansas.

During the First World War a conscientious objector was presented with a white feather. this was the symbol of a coward. Whatever the objection to war that led to his refusal to fight, it was very brave of the objector to face the label of a coward and become ostracised from his friends and family. It was considered very cowardly not to go to war for your country

First 50 Words~Quote

A quote can have a devastating effect on a piece of writing. To use a quote attributed to someone who is, or has been very well respected in their field can give a certain authority to a point that one wants to make. A well chosen short, pithy quote, can emphasise your point perfectly. Indeed some folk hide behind quotes to communicate many little irritations that they feel in their daily lives. One of my favourite quotes is~~"The only real valuable thing is intuition" by Albert Einstein.

First 50 Words~If only I had a brain

If only I had a brain that could out-think the worlds largest super-computer. I would be capable of instantly solving many scientific problems with a combination of pure logic and the unpredictable human feelings we are all born with. The downside would be that I probably would be the worlds biggest bore as no other human would be able to understand me.
