This picture was snapped a few weeks ago but it gives the flavour of the weather this morning and I was unable to get started on the allotment.
We headed out for the day to Norwich to wander around the shops and have lunch in Nandos a wonderful chicken restaurant.
While we were in Norwich, I took the opportunity to visit Wilkinsons hardware store. This is my favourite place to go at this time of the year as it is always packed to the roof with wonderful gardening bargains. I spent some rewarding time browsing around the shelves and I actually managed to purchase my seed potatoes for the coming season.
I decided after some deliberation to buy the tried and tested varieties that I have grown before and I bought. ~~~
PENTLAND JAVELIN~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ First earlies
MARIS PEER~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Second earlies
DESIREE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Main crop
I also bought some more Garlic bulbs and I thought I would take a chance and try some of the very large Elephant garlic. I did not have very good success with these bulbs last year.
Then I noticed they had some blueberry bushes at two for £5, so I invested in a couple of those as well. These will fit in nicely as I lost a couple of my bushes to the weather last year.

Random photographs of the countryside and the sunset shot from the car window on the way home from Norwich.
