Sadly, I lost my lovely large climbing plant at the bottom of the garden to the vicious Norfolk winds.
The very thick trunk had almost snapped completely and unfortunately there wasn't a hope of saving it.
I cut it down and removed the old trellis and the arch, I found that the wood was almost rotted away in parts and this was the reason the wind had such a devastating effect. Margaret and I visited a local DIY shop and I bought a new trellis and a couple of supporting posts.
I was very lucky and I managed to save my wonderful pink climbing rose and I think three different Clematis climbers, that were established on the old arch.

I was unable to do any work on the allotment today but I paid a visit as Margaret needed some Leeks. I snapped a few photographs in the rain.
