For today’s prompt, pick a color, make the color the title of your poem, and then, write your poem. You can make your poem black, white, red, purple, turquoise, puce, or whatever your heart desires. And the subject of your poem can cover any topic–as long as you’ve plugged a color into the title. Let’s do this
By John Yeo
Aqua a description of water,
Marine, a perfectly placid sea.
The blue a reflection of heaven
The watery orb we inhabit.
Aquamarine is the colour of home.
Earth is blue in the black of space,
Water, our lifeblood, the key.
All life washed ashore from the blue sea
Covering the land with our family.
Aquamarine is the colour of life.
Translucent depths of a mental hue,
A moon at night of a deep dark blue.
Reflecting a seascape of luminescence
Thoughtful deep dreams in the blue half light
Aquamarine is the colour of night.
