Day 9~~THE OTHER UNIVERSE
Life in a rainforest, life after rainfall,
Among the leaves fallen, tiny worlds exist.
Each drop of water dripping from the treetops
To the red gold rust coloured leaves below,
Contains microscopic life forms, living and dying
A tiny world multiplying in a drop of water
Captured briefly on leaves high in the treetops,
A water-world parched and dried by the sun,
Composing the other Universe.
A bacterial world in a drop of water,
Multiple life forms actively surviving.
A tiny world, in a Universe of water.
A drop of water has a very short life span,
Falling freely mingling with the flood,
Becomes a puddle, a stream, then a raging river,
Flowing onwards to the mighty Ocean.
A mass of life force, at war for survival.
Living in the other Universe.
A waterfall composed of a cascade of worlds,
Tiny jewelled droplets flooding together,
A torrent of tiny worlds cascading freely
Adaptable precious water, indispensible to life
A tear from an eye captures another tear,
Mingling organisms make unique DNA,
A waterfall of sadness cascades
To join the universal body of water-worlds
Building the other Universe.
Consider the world in a drop of water,
Containing a thousand tiny life forms.
A thousand separate types of existance.
A dripping tap sends millions of worlds
Rushing through a man made black hole,
Linking with many more tiny worlds,
Flooding onward a life-filled torrent,
A huge universal flood of life.
The unseen, undiscovered, other Universe.
