We landed on the ice-covered frozen planet of Pearl, the second planet, with the greatest distance from the Sun. In our solar system the Sun is the powerhouse and the closest planets to the Sun are deserts. Our planet Agas was at the halfway point between the Sun and the icy far planet of Pearl.
We were greeted with much warmth from the hardy natives who were raised here and very able to survive the exteme temperatures generated under the harsh conditions on this extreme world.
Two chiefs ruled over this icy domain. One a very skilled practioner in the art of planetary maintainence, a very able chief and overall champion of the administrative workings of the planet Pearl. He had an assembly of lesser chiefs responsible for running the various departments of this icy floating planet, orbiting through the rough denizons of outer space.
The second chief was the chief of the parliament of extreme emotion. His charge was to keep the population happy and to inject warmth into the icy proceedings of the day-to-day conditions on the planet Pearl. This chief was an accomplished practitioner in the art of communication and a very skilled, self-promoting politician, able to appeal to many strands of emotion. He had a very able and skilled, obedient team of staff, who attended on him and were expected to act on his every word, paying homage to every one of his outlandish whims.
The flora we encountered on this incredible ice-covered world was unusual and exotic to our eyes. There were many edible frozen barnicles that attached themselves to everything, everywhere. The planetary chefs on this amazing world were able to create many tasty, nutricious dishes from this prolific icy resource. Much flora was obtained from the ice forests that grow prolifically all over the planet.
Many of the visitors to this icy world were tourists on holiday in the depths of the stormy reaches of outer Space. Buffeted by the icy winds and rocky conditions, these hardy, temporary visitors enjoyed the extreme conditions they found on this frozen icy world.
